Hawaii Visitors Industry Security Association Sponsors ISA 2009!
This morning Arnold & I had a meeting with Kaleo, president of Hawaii Visitors Industry Security Association (HVISA). Last year HVISA was one of the ISA's major sponsors.
President Kaleo and his organization saw the positve impact the ISA had on the community, especially on Hawaii's keiki, that their organization will back the 2009 Internet Safety Awards and again be a sponsor for the event.
We also discussed other projects involving our youth which would involve partnering the private sector, the education community, and law enforcement.
HVISA, the InfraGard Honolulu Members Alliance and the Honolulu CrimeStoppers would play major roles in these projects.
Mahalos to President Kaleo and his organization for their dedication and support to keep our keiki safe!
Federal Law Enforcement Foundation (FLEF) Will Again Sponsor The ISA!
Last Tuesday Arnold & I were able to do a short presentation to the board members of the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation (FLEF) showcasing the 2088 Internet Safety Awards which they sponsored last year. As result, the Board agreed to sponsor this year's event by at least matching what they had donated last year!
Mahalos to Dr. Gary and the entire Board of FLEF!

Hawaii Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Will Be A Sponsor!
Last week I was able to meet with the head of the Hawaii State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Deputy Attorney General Kristin Izumi-Nitao, and confirmed that HICAC will also be one of the sponsors for the 2009 Internet Safety Awards.
Kristin also offered to ask Hawaii State Attorney General Mark Bennett if he would be able make some opening remarks at the awards gala.
She also offered to introduce us to Ms. Edgy Lee, one of Hawaii's leading filmmaker.
[ I'm crossing my fingers that she would present one of our awards ;) ]
Mahalos to Kristin and the entire HICAC Task Force for supporting our project!
BTW,
Kristin was one of our judges last year and agreed to do it again this year.
